Kauniiden hevosten maa -valokuvateos kuvaa Turkin Kappadokiaa, sen maisemia, historiaa ja kylien elämää. Tuhansien vuosien aikana muovautunut tuffimaa on veistoksellinen kuin taideteos, ja ihminen on erityisen viehättävällä tavalla asettunut tähän maisemaan kaivertamalla asuntonsa suoraan kivettyneeseen maahan. Luonnon ja kulttuurin ero on häilyvä, eikä ole ihan selvää missä talo loppuu ja alkaa. 

Ihmiset ja kulttuurit, jotka tulivat ja menivät, ovat jättäneet jälkensä Kappadokiaan. Erityisen vaikuttavia ovat kuvat, joita varhaiskristilliset munkkiyhteisöt maalasivat pieniin luolapyhättöihinsä. Nykypäivän kappadokialaisten elämä on historiallisten kerrostumien pinnalla.
Tähän teokseen on taltioitu ohikiitäviä hetkiä, ihmisiä, heidän ilmeitään, heidän matkaansa läpi maiseman paimenena tai puutarhurina, äitinä tai lapsena, sellaisina kuin he kerran ovat olleet.

Land of beautiful horses brings together a collection of photographs of the Cappadocia region in Turkey: its landscapes, history and village life. The volcanic tuffl and, like sculptures, was formed over thousands of years, and people have settled into this landscape most attractively by hollowing
out dwellings in the stone. The shimmering difference between nature and culture makes it hard to see where houses end and mountains begin.
People and cultures came and went, leaving their own traces in Cappadocia. Especially impressive are the frescoes painted by the monks of the early Christian monastries in their small mountain shrines.
On the surface of the historical layers lies the daily life of Cappadocians.These photographs and poems capture the essence of passing moments: people, their expressions, their journeys through the landscape as herdersor planters, as mothers and children, as they once were.
